This week's grand prize is Das Keyboard 4 Professional, one of the manufacturer's current flagship models, boasting sophisticated manufacturing and high-quality materials. The second prize is Das Keyboard Prime 13, which allows users to fully concentrate on their work thanks to its minimalist design and sober functionality. The third and final prize is Das Keyboard 4C TKL, which comes in a much more compact format, adopts the usual stability of the rest of the portfolio, and even comes with robust PBT keycaps.
DAS KEYBOARD 4 PROFESSIONAL: BUILT TO LAST
The Das Keyboard 4 Professional is built for ease of use: In addition to a dedicated media control with an extra-large volume dial on the keyboard's upper right side, the manufacturer also integrates a full-sized USB 3.0 hub, a high-quality anodized aluminum top plate, and resonance-free case bottom for less distracting ambient noise.
Instead of conventional folding feet, the Das Keyboard 4 Professional comes with a magnetic, detachable foot bar that positions the keyboard at an optimal 4-degree angle for typing. If you don't like to type at an angle, you can also use the bar as a ruler - very clever! And since the keyboard has an extra-long USB connection cable with a length of two meters, it can be positioned flexibly.
AVAILABLE WITH CHERRY MX BROWN OR BLUE
The Das Keyboard 4 Professional is available exclusively with tactile CHERRY MX switches: On the one hand with MX Brown, which offer a slight resistance when typing without an audible click, and on the other hand with MX Blue, which, in addition to a tactile actuation, report back the entry with a click sound. We are giving away a variant with our MX Brown for the MKBD 2022.
DAS KEYBOARD PRIME 13: MINIMALIST DESIGN
With the Das Keyboard Prime 13, the manufacturer limits itself to the most necessary functions and a minimalist exterior so that users can concentrate on their work. However, you don't have to sacrifice a high-quality design, as a classy aluminum top plate is also used in this model. In addition, there is a sleeved USB connection cable and a USB hub.
For the Das Keyboard Prime 13, the manufacturer again relies on our CHERRY MX Brown switches, which are equipped with a static white backlight in this model, to always hit the right key even in poor lighting conditions. The lighting can not only be dimmed in seven brightness levels, but it also has an automatic dimming feature that reduces the intensity of the lighting after ten minutes of inactivity.
DAS KEYBOARD 4C TKL: MINIMUM SPACE REQUIREMENT, MAXIMUM POTENTIAL
The Das Keyboard 4C TKL is the manufacturer's only keyboard to date that is designed in the space-saving tenkeyless format. Thanks to the lack of a numpad on the right side, the keyboard thus takes up significantly less space on the desk, making it suitable not only for cramped setups but also for anyone who needs a lot of room to handle their mouse.
Das Keyboard integrates a USB hub with two ports despite the reduced form factor. Users also benefit from the usual solid construction, which includes a high-quality aluminum top plate. A particular highlight are the PBT keycaps with a black sublimation coating, which have a significantly longer lifespan than conventional ABS variants. Also back on board: The magnetic foot bar of the Das Keyboard 4 Professional. The switches for the Das Keyboard 4C TKL are again CHERRY MX Brown.
