MKBD 2021: MOUNTAIN X CHERRY MX GIVEAWAY [WEEK 06]

It's week number 6 of our Mechanical Keyboard Day 2021 celebration giveaway weeks, and it's almost half time. That's why this week only, we are giving away two mechanical keyboards and a barebone from our partner Mountain. Read on to get all the information and enter the competition.

MOUNTAIN EVEREST MAX: MECHANICAL KEYBOARD WITH MODULAR CONCEPT

The main prize this week is the Mountain Everest Max, the manufacturer's flagship mechanical keyboard. This is a modular concept: The main element is an 80-percent keyboard with a high-quality aluminum top plate. In addition, there is a magnetic wrist rest with a PU leather cover. The next component is the numpad, which can be attached to the keyboard's right or left - or even at some distance thanks to the USB-C expansion cable. Another special feature is that Mountain integrates four mini-display keys on the numpad, which can be programmed with any shortcuts, functions or macros. You can also freely select the display symbols.

However, the next module, the so-called "Media Dock", is probably the most striking feature. It can also be attached to either the left or right side of the keyboard's upper side. The dock not only allows multimedia control via the dedicated keys, but also provides a control dial with an integrated display that has a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. This allows, for example, controlling the RGB effects, switching through macro profiles or displaying data of the PC directly via the Media Dock.

HOT-SWAPPABLE PCB ALLOWS EASY SWITCH REPLACEMENT

The next highlight: The Mountain Everest Max uses a hot-swappable PCB for fast and easy switch swapping with the included tool. Mountain even includes several MX switches so users can try out the different characteristics for themselves.

MOUNTAIN EVEREST CORE: 80% KEYBOARD

The second prize is the Mountain Everest Core: This is basically the main element of the Mountain Everest Max, meaning the 80 percent mechanical keyboard without numpad and wrist rest - ideal for purists.

THIRD PRIZE: MOUNTAIN EVEREST CORE BAREBONE

The third and last prize this week is the Mountain Everest Core Barebone, which is delivered without switches and keycaps. It features genuine CHERRY stabilizers, which are even pre-lubricated at the factory. But we wouldn't be CHERRY MX if we didn't send you the barebone with a set of switches. Therefore, the winner has the choice between our MX RGB Red, Silent Red, Blue, Brown or Speed Silver.
