FNATIC PRESENTS NEW GAMING GEAR, INCLUDING KEYBOARDS WITH CHERRY MX SWITCHES - Blog - CherryMX

Fnatic presents new gaming gear, including keyboards with CHERRY MX switches

Fnatic Gear, the brand of the world-famous e-sports team Fnatic, brings a completely new lineup of gaming peripherals to the market. In addition to two new mice, there will also be keyboards equipped with CHERRY MX switches for PC players.

From now on, PC gamers will have the choice of four new products from the e-sports pros: two mechanical keyboards, STREAK and miniSTREAK, as well as two new gaming mice, CLUTCH2 and FLICK2, each with a precise optical sensor

Fnatic Gear STREAK: slim but feature-rich keyboard for gamers

Designed for use in e-sports tournaments, the Fnatic Gear STREAK relies on reliable mechanical switches from CHERRY MX and offers a variety of customization options. The keyboard is completed with a housing made of sturdy metal.

Fnatic Gear STREAK

With a height of only 28 millimeters at the thinnest point and a total weight of 962 grams, the Fnatic Gear STREAK is one of the thinnest mechanical gaming keyboards in the world. Thanks to the rubberized feet, sturdy positioning is always possible, and the top plate is made of highly-robust metal.

Flexibly programmable RGB Lighting

For single-key lighting, gamers can choose from the entire RGB color space of 16.8 million colors, which will work for the STREAK as well as the rest of the gaming setup. Moreover, it is possible to choose from eight different lighting effects, without needing to install software – simple keyboard shortcuts are enough. On top of static lighting, options include ‘rainbow’, ‘breathing’, and ‘dripping’. The manufacturer’s OP software further allows precise and extensive adjustments.

Speaking of customization, in the near future, buyers of STREAK will have the opportunity to place a magnetic plate with their own signature in the center of the backside, which is then lighted with RGB LEDs. Regardless of whether you use your own gamer tag or team name, this signature should be added during the ordering process.

Choosing between different CHERRY MX switches

For mechanical switches, Fnatic relies on MX technology from CHERRY. Buyers may choose between a multitude of MX RGB switches. The Fnatic STREAK is available with MX Red (linear and smooth), MX Brown (tactile and quiet), MX Blue (tactile with audible click), or MX Silent Red (attenuated and linear), depending on the keyboard layout selected.

With numerous comfort-enhancing features

Fnatic Gear comes with a detachable wrist rest that can be attached in three different positions. The rest itself is held in position by strong magnets. The necessary comfort is provided by soft PU leather upholstery. Other features include dedicated media buttons with a volume wheel and a USB hub at the back of the keyboard.

TKL variant: Fnatic Gear miniSTREAK

The Fnatic Gear miniSTREAK is the tenkeyless version (TKL) of the STREAK gaming keyboard, so it lacks the number pad on the right. Despite its compact design, users are not missing out on the features of the full-sized STREAK, such as the USB hub, adjustable wrist rest, or choice in RGB-illuminated MX switches. By omitting the number pad, the keyboard weighs much less and has a smaller footprint, making the miniSTREAK particularly suitable for gamers who only have a small desk, or who often take the keyboard with them when traveling.
